Long Rides, Rainy Days and The Library

Yesterday's ride included Camelback, Tonto National Park and a lost Dutchman.  With the temperature near 70 degrees and low winds, the fading day light was my only limitation (and maybe some gravel.)
Seven Springs Rd. - Tonto National Park
Camel Back Mountain

A few miles into Tonto National Forest, Seven Springs Rd. vacillates between gravel and finished pavement.  I was cool with that, but my wheels weren't.  I managed to run my rear wheel severely out of
true. Ideally, I would have had my cross bike for this ride, but you can only pack so many bikes on a budget.

"Infamous Gravel Climb" that wreaked havoc on my rear wheel.

And Today...

It's raining... F-Bomb!  A quick 25 mile ride was all my quickly thining blood could muster in the 48 degree rainy weather.  With riding over for the day, it's time to head to the library for a copy of The Tin Drum.  The rest of my day will probably consist of terrorizing pops, sipping a strong porter and whining about the inclement weather.  At this point, I feel it's my duty.

Cheers!

I'm going for the Black Boss Porter first

Tune of the day in honor of the lovely weather
