Spent my first weekend in Lexington, KY this past weekend and boy oh boy what a hoot! Besides visiting with great folks out at my friend's family farm, I also had the opportunity to see New York's own "Two Man Gentleman Band" at Al's Bar. The band's music reminded me of the album "Oh! The Grandeur" by Andrew Bird. Their tunes were catchy and everyone was, at the very least, tapping their foot to the sounds of the standing bass.
